Bio

Born February 23, 1960, in Berwyn, IL.  While in college, my first job in special education was as a residential living assistant at. St. Coletta School, in Jefferson, Wisconsin.  My first job as an SLP was in a county nursing home in rural Wisconsin. From 1991 to 1993, I was in the U.S. Peace Corps, serving as a speech-language pathologist on the island of Antigua.  Upon my return to the U.S., I moved to Michigan and started in the PhD program at Michigan State University.  Over a period of sixteen years, I have taught five different courses for the ASC/CSD Department at MSU (ASC113, ASC/CSD 333, ASC/CSD 364, CSD 483 and ASC 823G).  Currently, I am a full-time speech-language pathologist for the Lansing School District, at the Marvin E. Beekman Center.
